Write for us
We welcome pitches that help readers look more closely, try a creative approach or understand the choices behind a handmade result. Send proposals through the Contact page and choose the editorial question option.
Ideas we welcome
Pitch clear, original pieces about colour, drawing, paper, collage or accessible hands-on arts. Useful formats include a focused comparison, an explanation of a visual choice, a short history, a thoughtful account of a common misconception or a guided creative prompt.
What makes a strong pitch
Tell us the working title, the central idea, who it may help and what the reader will understand or be able to try. Keep the scope specific, explain any specialist terms and make clear which parts are your own perspective. We value writing that invites experimentation without promising a perfect outcome.
Sending a proposal
Use the Contact page to send a short pitch rather than a finished article. Include a brief outline and any relevant context about the idea. A proposal is not a guarantee of publication; please wait for a reply before sending a full draft.
Curiosity matters more than a perfect finish
Creative practice can begin with a scrap of paper and ten spare minutes. We value experiments that help you notice, choose and make something in your own way.
